The use of consumables in the World of Tanks game is usually to help gain an offensive advantage or to protect your tank and its crew. Most of the consumables will be expended when used and will have to be purchased again if required. Each of the consumables has unique characteristics and can be bought using credits or gold.
Regular Consumables are bought using credits whereas premium consumables can be bought with gold. Premium consumables are more effective than regular consumables, but are also expensive.
As you can only carry three consumables, space available for storing consumables is a concern. You have the option of selling the consumables that may be taking up the much-required space. To sell the consumable you will have to un-mount it from the tank.
This consumable will be moved to the depot from where you can sell it or move it to another vehicle. Any consumable that is sold will fetch only 50% of the actual value and therefore never sell a consumable unless it is necessary. Moving the consumable from the depot to another vehicle can be done free of cost and is usually a better option.
