If You Want To Succeed Prepare Well!

What happens when you're not well-prepared? Things you hope won't happen, do, and they occur with greater frequency than the things you hope will happen.

The dividing line between winning and loosing is preparation!

The Only One Secret Of Success. (motivational tip)

Few amongst us have freed themselves from being pushed around all their life.

A lot of people have worked and worked trying to find success, to no avail.
However, experience has shown me that success is not achieved by merely working hard, it is achieved by working smart.

I know many people who worked from dawn to dusk all their lives, with very little to show for it.
Most often, I bless God for my life because fortunately, I have found myself in the midst of readers, and as we know, readers are leaders.
So as part of my own contribution to humanity, I confirmed that there are many definitions of success and many who take time to define it.
Even Webster's comprehensive dictionary definition, that success is the accomplishment of what is desired or aimed at, did not convince me enough as to accept it neglecting the definition or formula of the person I am about to share with you.

One great and respectable person said; "The Secret of Success is doing something and people may like it."
I agree a little with this man, yet I am not fully convinced.
But the day I came across Dr. Robert Schuller's statement that, "The greatest secret of success is to find a need and fill it," from that day I knew I had got what I was looking for.
(thats motivational and inspirational.)

Come to think of it. 99.9% of all the rich and famous people that history has recorded have had to play around Dr. Schuller's statement: find a need and fill it.

Let's start from Jesus. He brought salvation to us. Yes? People followed him in the millions.
He became the most famous person on earth even though he never grew beyond 33 years.
Look at Henry Ford, Thomas Edison, Bill Gates, Warren Buffet, Richard Branson, Steve Job, etc. They were all busy providing what people need.
Let's come back home to our own people in Nigeria. Alhaji Aliko Dangote, Prince Samuel Adedoyin, Dr. David Oyedepo, Chief Wale Adenuga jr. Among others.

Are you still among those who are confused and don't what to do?
Dr. Robert Schuller's statement is all you need to think about very well.
Look around you very closely, and you will discover that the people around you have one need or the other.
And you will become a wiser person if you know who has a particular need.

There is only one secret of true success: find a need and fill it.

Do you have a support group? (Inspirational tips)

A person standing alone can be
attacked and defeated, but two men
can stand back-to-back and conquer.
(Ecclesiastes 4:12 NLT)

A faithful friend is a strong defense;
and he that hath found him hath
found a treasure. -Louisa May Alcott.

The strength of the huddle.

When I asked a friend what he missed
most about pro football, I was
surprised by his answer.

He said it was
getting into the huddle. You felt safe
there, he said. It was where you could
get direction, support, and correction. It was where you could regroup for
the next phase of the battle, knowing
10 other guys were there to help you
win.

He said the huddle was a real refuge
during away-games in hostile
stadiums, when, besides the team,
they were fighting a negative
environment. It was a place where
they could return to for encouragement to keep going.
Every man needs a safe place to get
what he needs to enter into life's
conflict. If a man's going to survive—
no, win—the battles of life, he must
have a huddle of good men around
him to cheer him on and bandage his wounds.
He needs men who will
celebrate with him in the good times
and do whatever it takes to bring help
and healing in the bad times. Rodney L. Cooper in Shoulder to Shoulder The writer of Ecclesiastes paints a
depressing picture of a man who
strives to gain the whole world alone,
then asks himself, "Who am I working
for?
Why am I giving up so much
pleasure now?"

The writer concludes, "It is all so meaningless and
depressing" (Ecclesiastes 4:8). How
much better it is to go through life with
a strong network of support.

When
you share your trials and triumphs
with others, you soon realize that you're not alone. And somehow,
when we stand together, life's
challenges don't seem so daunting
anymore.

Hymns of victory.

And he said, "Yes, it was written long
ago that the Messiah must suffer and
die and rise again from the dead on
the third day. With my authority, take
this message of repentance to all the
nations, beginning in Jerusalem: There is forgiveness of sins for all who turn
to me." Luke 24:46-27 NLT The day of resurrection! Earth, tell it
out abroad; the passover of gladness,
the passover of God. From death to life
eternal, from earth unto the sky, our
Christ hath brought us over with
hymns of victory.
The Day of Resurrection John of Damascus (eighth century)

Raising a racket

It is said that John of Damascus started
his hymnwriting career with a funeral
hymn for a fellow monk. The monk
wasn't dead yet, but everyone
thought death was near. So John
prepared his song and was singing it loudly in his room, testing it out.
Suddenly the monk for whom is was
written burst into the room and
scolded John for raising such a racket.
Tradition says that John was expelled
from the monastery briefly for causing this disturbance, but then the Lord told
the abbot that John would be doing
great things with music, so the abbot
welcomed John back. And John did some great things,
collecting and organizing the great
hymns of the Greek-speaking church.
His major accomplishment was the
writing of the Golden Canon, an Easter
liturgy still used in the Greek Orthodox church and from which this hymn is
taken. Scholars have called his text the
finest sacred poetry in the Greek
language.

Has GOD calmed your Fear?

Has God calmed you fear?

In my distress I prayed to the Lord and the Lord answered me and rescued me. The Lord is for me, so I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me? Yes, the Lord is for me; he will help me.
Psalm 118:5-7 NLT

Prayer offers us a way out of our fear. It is all a matter of calling upon Jesus' name. Only in His name is there help. The more we call upon His name, the more we will experience this truth.
Mother Basilea Schlink (1904-2001)

The Lord is for me

Today's verses tell us that the psalmist was in a frightening situation. But in his distress, he cried out to God in prayer. Because of God's presence and strength in response to his plea, the psalmist could look in triumph at those who hated and attacked him. For every difficulty and trial, God has prepared a way. His eyes are on those who trust in him in their distress, and his ears are attentive to their cries. You can know and rest assured that just as God was for David, he is for you! And because the all-powerful Lord who is on your side is your shield and defender, you do not have to be afraid. The Lord is greater than any problem, greater than any fear, greater than any person opposing you. Thank him for his help in past situations when there seemed to be no way out, and trust him and thank him for being "for you" today.

LORD, thank you for answering me and helping me in my distress. Thank you for being for me! That truth is amazing to me and assures me of your concern for me. Help me to resolve not to be afraid because the Lord of the universe is on my side!

Adapted from The One Year® Book of Praying through the Bible by Cheri Fuller, Tyndale House Publishers (2003), entry for May 21.

Chicks saved from fire.

A big forest fire burned for many days in the mountains of Yellowstone Park in USA.
At last there were no more flames or smoke. Only then was the ground cool enough to walk on, so the forest rangers went up into the mountains. they needed to see how much damage the fire had done to the trees and animals.

As they climbed, they saw that many trees had been burned down. then one of the rangers found a bird under a burnt tree. The bird was still standing up, even though it had died in the heat. The ranger was very sad to see this. He took a stick and gently pushed the bird over. Then he had a big surprise.
Three tiny chicks ran out from under the dead mother-bird's wings.

What had happened? The mother-bird knew that her young family would all be killed in the fire if they stayed in the tree. She must have carried each one to the ground at the bottom of the tree and hidden them under her wings. It was the only place low down where they would be safe - the poisonous smoke always goes upwards.

There the mother-bird stayed. The heat of the fire killed her, but her chicks were safe.
She could have flown to safety, but she chose to save her babies. The pain of the flames had come to her. She thought of her chicks and not herself. She was willing to die so that those under her wings would live.

This true story reminds us of a verse in the Holy Bible, which says: "He will cover you with his wings, you will be safe in his care." It shows how God looks after us and keeps us safe.
