Be Careful What You Say

Careless words can hurt people. Not  only can they influence a person's self-worth' they can actually shape that person's destiny.  If you doubt that, consider these two stories:

1) One day in a small country church an alter boy accidentally dropped the communion wine. The officiating priest slapped him and shouted, Leave, and don't come back"! That boy became General Tito, the brutal communist dictator who ruled the people of Yugoslavia for years.

Learn To Make Better Decisions (Tips)

If you're still making the same mistake at fifty that you were at twenty, you need to ask God for wisdom.

'The heart of the discerning acquires knowledge, the ears of the wise seek it out'.

What you are in the present, was determined by the decisions you made in the past.

Get Up And Run! Your Goal Is Within Sight

Carole Mayhall writes: 'The other night Jack and I watched a television drama called "See How She Runs". In it a 40-year-old, divorced schoolteacher decided to become a jogger and eventually entered the 26-mile Boston Marathon. It's a gruelling test of heart, mind and body. To finish the race became her goal, and in spite of being jeered at and assaulted she didn't lose sight of it. When the day of the race came she face her ultimate test.

LOOK FOR THE HONEY! Move Beyond The Pain and Look For The Honey!

{'THERE WAS...HONEY...AND HE TOOK THEREOF.' Judges 14:8-9.}

In their book, The Laws of Lifetime Growth, authors Dan Sullivan and Catherine Nomura explain, 'Continual learning is essential for lifetime growth. You can have a great deal of experience and be so smarter for all the things you've done, seen, and heard. Experience alone is no guarantee of lifetime growth. But if you regularly transform your experiences into new lessons, you'll make each day of your life a source of growth. The smartest people are those who can transform even the smallest events or situations into breakthroughs in thinking and action. Look at all of life as a school and every experience as a lesson, and your learning will always be greater than your experience.'

In an old Peanuts cartoon, Charles Schulz shows Charlie Brown at the beach building a magnificent sandcastle. It's a work of art. As he stands back to admire it, it is suddenly destroyed by a big wave. In the last frame he says, 'There must be a lesson here, but for the life of me I don't know what it is.' That's how many of us feel after a potentially valuable experience. We go through it but don't grow. We attend mettings designed to help us learn, then do nothing with what we've heard after closing our notebooks. Don't get excited about a learning event, get excited about learning! And you haven't really learned it untill you applied it.

A few days after slaying a lion, Samson returned to the scene of victory and discovered two things in the carcass:

a) bees, that sting and

b) honey that tastes sweet.

'And he took thereof.'

In life, move beyond the pain and look for the honey!

The Begining (Dawn) Of A Dream. (Motivational tips)

Imagine all the good things of life all around us that make life easy - the vehicle, telephone, computer, aeroplane, etc! Think about how life would have been without these things.
Have you ever stopped to ask how they came into being?
Somebody somewhere had a dream, and was able to carry it through.

A dream is a vision, an ambition, a goal. It is a picture on one's mind, of what one wants to achieve in life. As you look at the future, you need to consider where you are and where you are going.
You need to form a picture in your mind. It may be the picture of a doctor, a lawyer, a scientist, an engineer, an accountant, a journalist, a president. That picture of what you intent to be in future is what we call a vision, a goal, an ambition, a dream. This dream is different from the normal dream people have at night when they sleep.

Dreams are very important in life. If you don't have a dream then you don't have a goal, an aim or a focus in life. You will merely be drifting about on the sea of life. It is dream that makes the dreamer and it is the dreamer that makes the world go round. If your dream dies, you are dead, only waiting to be buried. You must have a dream in life, a dream that is bigger than what you are now; a dream that will stretch you and make you feel like getting something out of life or making some meaningful contributions to life.

As you move around town, you are likely to come across statutes of famous citizens or nationalist. Those statutes stand, in remembrance of the dreamers of our nation - the people that had a dream of what the nation should look like and put some things in place to mid-wife their dream.

I want to ask you, what dream have you got?
What will you like to be ten years from now?

Motivational and inspirational tips.

You are what your dream is? If your dream is small, you are small. If your dream is great, you are great. If your dream is coming from a Satanic source, then it is dangerous. If your dream is coming from self, then you are selfish. You are what your dream is.

The Only One Secret Of Success. (motivational tip)

Few amongst us have freed themselves from being pushed around all their life.

A lot of people have worked and worked trying to find success, to no avail.
However, experience has shown me that success is not achieved by merely working hard, it is achieved by working smart.

I know many people who worked from dawn to dusk all their lives, with very little to show for it.
Most often, I bless God for my life because fortunately, I have found myself in the midst of readers, and as we know, readers are leaders.
So as part of my own contribution to humanity, I confirmed that there are many definitions of success and many who take time to define it.
Even Webster's comprehensive dictionary definition, that success is the accomplishment of what is desired or aimed at, did not convince me enough as to accept it neglecting the definition or formula of the person I am about to share with you.

One great and respectable person said; "The Secret of Success is doing something and people may like it."
I agree a little with this man, yet I am not fully convinced.
But the day I came across Dr. Robert Schuller's statement that, "The greatest secret of success is to find a need and fill it," from that day I knew I had got what I was looking for.
(thats motivational and inspirational.)

Come to think of it. 99.9% of all the rich and famous people that history has recorded have had to play around Dr. Schuller's statement: find a need and fill it.

Let's start from Jesus. He brought salvation to us. Yes? People followed him in the millions.
He became the most famous person on earth even though he never grew beyond 33 years.
Look at Henry Ford, Thomas Edison, Bill Gates, Warren Buffet, Richard Branson, Steve Job, etc. They were all busy providing what people need.
Let's come back home to our own people in Nigeria. Alhaji Aliko Dangote, Prince Samuel Adedoyin, Dr. David Oyedepo, Chief Wale Adenuga jr. Among others.

Are you still among those who are confused and don't what to do?
Dr. Robert Schuller's statement is all you need to think about very well.
Look around you very closely, and you will discover that the people around you have one need or the other.
And you will become a wiser person if you know who has a particular need.

There is only one secret of true success: find a need and fill it.

Making Your Words Work For You. (Motivational tips)

-One of the best ways we can improve our self-image is with our words. Words are like seeds. They have creative power. It says in the Bible that "We will eat the fruit of our words." thats's amazing when you stop to consider that truth: Our words tend to produce what we're saying.-

You need to have an image of a champion on the inside. You may not be there yet; you may have some areas to overcome, but you need to know deep down inside that you are a victor and not a victim.

Everyday, we should make positive declarations over our lives.
We should say things such as, "I am blessed. I am prosperous. I am healthy. I am talented. I am creative. I am wise."
When we do that, we are building up our self-image. As those words permeate your heart and mind, and especially your subconscious mind, eventually they will begin to change the way you see yourself.

Some individuals curse their own future by saying things such as, "I don't have what it takes. I'm so clumsy I can't get anything right. I'm so undisciplined. I'll probably never lose this weight."
We must be extremely careful what we allow out of our mouth. Our words set the direction for our lives.

Which direction are you going? Are you declaring good things? Are you blessing your life, speaking words of faith over your future? Or are you prone to saying negative things?
"Nothing good ever happens to me. I'll probably never get out of dept. I'll never break this addiction."
When you talk like that, you are setting the limits for your life.

Our Words Set The Direction For Our Lives.
Many people suffer a poor self-image because of their own words. They've gone around for years putting themselves down, and now they've developed these wrong mind-sets that prevent them from rising higher in their careers or in their personal lives.

Maybe you have had other people speak negative, destructive words over you. Perhaps a parent, coach, or teacher said things like, "You don't have what it takes, you're never going to be successful, you're not smart enough." Now those words have taken root and they are setting the limits for your life.
The only way you can change the effects of these words is for you to get on the offensive and start speaking faith-filled words over your own life.

You Can Train Yourself to Be Persistence.

Persistence is a state of mind, therefore it can be cultivated.
Like all states of mind, persistence is based upon definite causes, among them these:-

a. Definiteness of purpose. Knowing what one wants is the first and, perhaps, the most important step toward the development of persistence. A strong motive forces one to surmount many difficulties.

b. Desire. It is comparatively easy to acquire and to maitain persistence in pursuing the object of intence desire.

c. Self-reliance. Belief in one's ability to carry out a plan encourages one to follow the plan through with persistence.

d. Definiteness of plans. Organized plans, even though they may be weak and entirely impratical, encourage persistence.

e. Accurate knowledge. Knowing that one's plans are sound, based upon experience or observation, encourages persistence; ''guessing'' instead of ''knowing'' destroys persistence.

f. Cooperation. Sympathy, understanding, and harmonious cooperation with others tend to develop persistence.

g. Will-power. The habit of concentrating one's thoughts upon the building of plans for attainment of a definite purpose leads to persistence.

h. Habit. Persistence is the direct result of habit. The mind absorbs and becomes a part of the daily experiences upon which it feeds. Fear, the worst of all enemies, can be effectively cured by forced repetition of acts of courage. Everyone who has seen active service in war knows this.

Change your life, live your life out loud.

Most men lead
lives of quiet
desperation, and
go to the grave
with the song still
in them. ~Henry
David Thoreau.

Every day, we
have the option to
live with passion,
be open to
possibility, and
reach for the
stars. We have the
freedom to boldly
live, laugh, and
love. Don’t wait for
permission. Begin.

It’s easy to feel
envious of those
who appear
effortlessly to
achieve not just
one thing, but
everything – all at
the same time.
They don’t just
have one project
on the go, but
many.

They’re
serial
accomplishers –
and always
successful.
So,
what are their
secrets? High
Achievers don’t do
clutter.
You may
have.

The power of encouragement.

Everybody needs encouragement. None of us achieves anything without help. The great achievers in history became all that they were because of the people in their lives.
We've seen the Chronicles of Narnia and The Lord of th Rings. But did you know that their authors, CS Lewis and JRR Tolkien, were professors at Oxford University and maintained a close friendship? Every week they'd meet to eat, talk about their fiction-writing endeavours and read passages of their yet unpublished works. It was Tolkien who encourages Lewis, an avowed atheist, to explore Christianity, ultimately leading to his conversion. And it was Lewis who encourages Tolkien to continue writing fiction and seek publication. Were it not for their friendship and mutual encouragement, the world wouldn't have received the finest writing in apologetics of the twentieth century, nor one of the finest fantasy works ever written.
Everyone, young and old, successful and less-than-successful, famous ane unknown who receives encouragement is changed by it. Mark Twain said, 'One compliment can keep me going for a whole month.' A word of encouragement from a teacher can change a child's life; a word of encouragement from a spouse can strengthen or even save a marriage; a word of encouragement from a leader can inspire a person to reach his or her potential. Zig Ziglar says, 'You never know when a moment and few sincere words can have an impact on a life.' The Bible says, 'Pleasant words are like a honeycomb, sweetness to the soul and health to the bones' (Proverbs 16:24 NKJV).
