Blogger (Blogspot) and Wordpress are free blog services, they allow users to write in text or in pictures and form a community.
Both blogging plartforms are wonderful in their own right without mincing words.
Here is my views on both blogging plartforms.
Blogger (blogspot)It is probably the most popular blogging plartform on the net, am I wrong? I guess not.
It was founded by the American entrepreneur Evan Williams and also the Creator or founder of Twitter.
He Evan Williams also invented that term 'Blogger'.
It was founded by an internet social media entrepreneur Matt Millenweg in 2003, it has about 350,000 bloggers, it has become popular because of its easy to use and complexity, yet remains one of the most (if not the most) powerful, free blogging plartform on the internet.
It has powerful and attractive dashboard, no coding knowlegde is required, easy to use and easy to navigate around. Powerful spam filtering plugin, the Akismet spam protection.
Wordpress offers 3GB space plus more when you upgrade, while blogger offers 1GB of image posting provided through Picasa web Albums.
If I will choose among the two, I will go with Wordpress, despite the fact that I am blogging on the blogspot plartform.
Wordpress seems to be more SEO friendly with its many SEO Plugins.

Blogger also known as Blogspot was aquired by Google in 2003 and has millions of users all over the world. Google's blogger is more user friendly and relatively easy to setup, monetize with Google Adsense and in adding third party contents, also, user can easily customize the look of their blog's theme to make it look the way they want, but with all the improvements made to the blogger's dashboard, it still lack some feature and tools that wordpress has, and the commenting feature (spam filter) is nothing to write home about. It has poor security issues, it can be hacked easily.
