Fitting in exercise with a busy working from home life tends to be a challenge for most people and sticking to a weight loss plan is probably the last thing you have time for.
One of the first steps into creating a fitness routine is finding a time in the day that you can roughly stick to.
Not only is regular exercise important to keep a healthy, balanced weight, but is also a great way of reliving any stress.
If for example you are a mom who has limited time or motivation to exercise, or you run your online business from home as a full-time job, here are some tips to get you back into a fitness routine.
1 . Purchase some exercise videos
Exercise videos can be a great way to get back into your fitness regime and offer a range of different exercises, including Pilates, yoga and kick boxing, all of which can be done from your living room and without having to use many pieces of equipment.
Exercise videos and weights can be purchased in fitness stores, sports shops, malls, or if you don't feel like spending loads of money on it, you can take a look at your local free classified websites like for example this one, where you'll probably find someone who is not using these items anymore and will probably be more than happy to sell them for a smaller price.
As for fitness videos, you might even rent them in your local video store.
2. Join a gym
If for example you are a full-time mother, consider that there are many gyms offer childcare which can be very beneficial to those with toddlers, who struggle to have any free time to exercise. If you have a different work-from-home situation, joining a gym is a great idea because you can go when you have time, it doesn't matter if it's first thing in the morning before you turn on your computer, or if it's latter in the afternoon when your work for the day is done.
3. See the outdoors
A bike ride in the outdoors can be a great way to spend some of your free time, whilst burning off some of those extra calories. Riding a bike is also one of the most effective forms of exercise, that works on those hard to tone areas. Fresh air and scenery is also another great benefit of riding outdoors and can make your work out seem more like a day trip than a gruelling exercise regime.
4. Take long walks
Walking can be both relaxing and is a lighter form of exercise. If you are looking for something slightly more challenging, consider taking a couple of 2kg weights with you, slightly moving your arms while walking; it might seem like something stupid to do, but I guarantee that you'll definitely notice it the morning after!
5. If you're a Working At Home Mom: Dance with your kids
If you are someone with kids that like to dance, why not take the time to dance with them. This can be fun for all the family and also gives you a chance to bond with your children. Dancing burns tons of calories as you are moving your whole body. This is yet another great way of exercising without it feeling like a choir.
Sticking to an exercise regime can be tough and requires a level of commitment in order to make it part of your daily life and routine. Busy people working from home can always find a way of working out, resulting in feeling healthier, stress free and more energetic, not only benefiting yourself and your life, but probably even your professional performance!
