Top 5 European Destinations for a Stag or Hen Weekend

This Guest post was written and compiled by Victoria.

A stag weekend on the continent is a great opportunity to party like crazy with your best friends in your last days of being single. Best of all, it doesn't have to break the bank either. With so many cheap flights to destinations around Europe, there is no shortage of choices. Here are five of the best.

Berlin, Germany

One of Europe's biggest and liveliest cities, Berlin is easily one of the most fun places to go for a stag party. It can be extremely cheap to get to and the costs once you're there are fairly affordable as well. There's a lot to see in Berlin, a major cultural and historic centre of Europe. There is also no end of partying in this city that never sleeps. The nightlife is eclectic and highly diverse, truly offering something for everyone. The city is also renowned for its beer halls and festivals.

Prague, Czech Republic

Prague was one of the first cities in Eastern Europe to appear on the stag party map and it is no less popular today. The stunningly beautiful city offers a huge amount to see and there are plenty of worthwhile daytrips as well for those planning a slightly longer stay. However, the greatest attraction for stag parties are the extremely low prices compared to the West. Where else can you drink for around £1 to £1.50 for a beer?

Barcelona, Spain

Barcelona is the cultural and historic centre of the Spanish region of Catalonia and, as Latin cultures are famous for, it is also home to some of the best nightlife in Europe. During the day, there are plenty of things to see in this large city of over four-million people. There is the stunning Sagrada Família cathedral, a huge beach and much more. By night, Barcelona is thriving until late the next morning.

Reykjavik, Iceland

Iceland's capital, Reykjavik, has recently appeared on the stag party scene, although it is certainly not cheap. Fortunately, however, there is plenty to do and see in Iceland. The landscape is truly dramatic and you can spend the day touring and swimming in one of the many hot springs. By night, Reykjavik has an impressive range of entertainment venues in spite of its small and very manageable size.

Riga, Latvia

Famous for its vast variety of entertainment options and beautiful women, Riga has been at the top of the stag party scene for the past five years. Although prices have gone up a lot, it is still a very affordable destination for the most part and getting there is extremely cheap as well. There are also plenty of daytime activities to partake in from paintballing to shooting a Kalashnikov.
