Guide To A Practical Brunch Decor

Practical Brunch Decor
If your brunch seems blah, but you’ve run out of things to decorate, try transforming your food and supplies into part of your décor. These fun tips will transform your yummy food and supplies into practical décor pieces that will surely add a little something to your brunch.

 Clever Menus
Make your menus more practical than they already are by printing them onto your napkins! All you need is some iron-on transfer paper. Print your brunch menus onto the paper then transfer the menus onto your cloth napkins using an iron. This is an easy way to eliminate the stress of deciding what paper you should use to display your menu nicely and fit the theme of your event or where to display them.

Lovely Labels
Every brunch needs labels so that guests can tell what food is on which plate and what drink is in which pitcher, but the labels don’t need to be boring! Tie them into your décor by decorating them with stickers or stamps. Give them a fun, festive feel by cutting around the edges with pattern-edged scissors. You can also print labels on different colored paper, or if you prefer classic white labels, dress them up with whimsical label stands. Don’t forget, you can have fun with the fonts, too! If you’re looking for exceptionally creative labels, try attaching a braid of embroidery floss to your labels with a bit of stationary sealing wax pressed with a vintage stamp.

Dressed Up Dessert
Your dessert station is a terrific opportunity to turn your edibles into part of your décor. You can find all kinds of stands for cookies and cakes, from cute and casual to ornate and formal. There are also many styles of cupcake-specific stands that are perfect for displaying your beautiful cupcakes and making them more accessible. The tiers eliminate the mess of trying to reach for a specific cupcake that is stuck in the center.

Edible Porcelain
Turn your hardboiled eggs into beautiful, edible decorations with an easy dying technique that creates a lovely porcelain-like finish. First, boil the eggs until almost hard in tinted water. Feel free to use whatever dye color you think will best complement your brunch décor.

Tap the eggs gently with a spoon until the shells begin to crack. Highlight the cracks by dropping a few more drops of color on them. Return the eggs to the pot of water and boil them until they are hard. Display the eggs on your table in glass bowls. You may have to remind your guests that they are edible!
