Folding Sunglasses Latest Summer Trend

The folding sunglasses design style is being proclaimed by many retailers as the go to feature of consumers purchasing sunglasses for their holidays to far off climbs in an attempt to escape the British summer season which so far has failed to make an appearance.

Dolce & Gabbana
Many top eyewear designers such as Dolce & Gabbana have included foldable shades in their latest launches, with the ‘Gold Edition’ range showcased by the company in Bangkok recently containing an Aviator model designed for men which folds completely round to enable easy storage in even the smallest of shorts or jeans pockets.

This is made possible by the ingenuity of the 45-degree frontal cut along the front of the glasses, while a key-ring style hook is provided in the overall package to add an air of functionality to the sophisticated gold coloured lens and frame design. These are likely to be limited edition specs with availability in short supply, so picking up this collector’s item similar to the shades worn by the likes of Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo and Brad Pitt will require early purchase to guarantee the classy summer look when abroad.

Ray Ban
The Ray-Ban Aviator 3479 model ensures the company’s rich history with trend setting aviator models continues, as the company looks to up its game amongst rivals by releasing these shades which expand on the original classic aviator sunglasses look by adding a foldable structure to them, with the accompanied casing designed for discrete storage in the foldable position for ease of portability when not wearing the glasses.

The added bonus of foldable sunglasses such as these is that the potential mild panic experience when setting the shades down on the table in the kitchen or dashboard in the car will be long forgotten, as the foldable design allows for increased durability and reduction of snapping or distortion of the frame. Picking up this particular model will ensure ease of portability whether it’s gigging like famous past musical Ray Ban wearers, or lounging on the world’s tropical beaches like the celebrity stars in the tabloid magazines.

Retailers' Dream
Selected retailers are even looking to release full ranges of foldable sunglasses rather than one-off models, due to the increased popularity of a design which allows simple storage and portability, leaving carrying around your sunglasses in hand when the sun hides amongst the clouds a thing of the past, building on popular aviator styles to produce stylish shades with a practical usage.
