She wore them again when she met some Olympians, and before we knew it Middleton’s shoes were the topic of conversation and the world of Olympics and medals were left in the dust. Olympic swimmer Rebecca Adlington, freestyle bronze medallist, met Kate and she gushed about Middleton’s shoes.  Google now has over 800 articles on Kate’s navy wedges. As with all Kate Middleton’s fashion choices, the wake is crazy and ladies rush to scoop up the same pieces.

Like Middleton’s repeated use of her beloved nude heels that she wore with absolutely every outfit to just about every function in the first year of her marriage to Prince William, these new shoes look to become a firm favourite too. It’s just crazy how the world’s eyes are turned towards London for one of the most interesting Olympics of all time, and all people can talk about right now are Kate Middleton’s shoes.

Once again, as Zara Phillips, Prince William’s cousin, competed in the Equestrian events, all eyes were on Kate Middleton’s shoes and what she wore. The fact that Zara walked away with Silver and was heartbroken about missing the gold was irrelevant. She ended up becoming a sideshow to Kate Middleton’s shoes.
